It will be the 21st edition and will be held on 7 – 9 October 2023 in the Vodova Municipal Sports Hall. This year’s edition will again bring to Brno the world’s top dancers in standard and Latin American dances. The culmination of all the competitions will be the U21 World Championships in Latin-American dances and the European Championships in standard dances for professionals, which will take place in the Czech Republic for the first time! More than 80 dancing couples from 40 countries and 4 continents are participating in this championship.
Czech Republic will be represented by dancing couples
- Jonáš Tománek- Šárka Kosmáková at the U21 World Championships in Latin
- David Odstrčil- Tara Bohak at European Professional Standard Championships
These couples have ambitions to reach the final of these championships, which would be the first time a Czech couple has ever done so.

Quote:We are very happy that Brno will host another titular competition, which we will participate in. The Brno Open is a matter of our hearts and we really enjoy competing at home with an incredible crowd.
Equally important for Brno will be the Partner Cities Cup, which will feature teams from our partner cities Bratislava, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Kaunas, Vienna and of course the home city of Brno.
The Saturday gala evening will be hosted by Jan Onder and Kamila Tománková. The programme will feature the stars of the TV show Stardance.
For younger and older age groups there are also accompanying international ranking competitions, so the audience will be presented with a truly diverse range of dance couples of all ages from all over the world.
We expect a record 800 dancing couples from all over the world to take part in this year’s event.
Czech Television will produce a total of 3 TV programmes from this event.
Ambassadors of the event are:
Šárka Kašpárková, World Champion in triple jump and Olympic medalist
