The WDSF World Latin Dance Championship 2025 and the WDSF World Standard Showdance Championship will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Brno, specifically at the Starez Arena Vodova city sports hall.
This prestigious event is part of the 23rd annual Brno Open Dance Festival and will be held in the Czech Republic for the first time in history. More than 150 dance couples from over 40 countries and 4 continents are expected to participate.
The South Moravian Region actively supports cultural and sporting events in the region through various grant programs, which help all sports in our region.
Dance sport in the region is on the rise, and interest in it is growing, especially among children and juniors. Within the South Moravian Region, there is hardly a place where dance sport is not practiced.
It is certainly worth mentioning the successes of the dance club DSP Kometa Brno, which can boast many Czech Championship titles, as well as the first-ever Czech dance couple to win the World Dance Sport Championship title, David Odstrčil and Tara Bohak.
This dance club is the main organizer of the aforementioned World Championship, and it's great that this event will take place in the most beautiful region of the Czech Republic with the support of the region...
Program a gala evening
The all-day program will culminate on Saturday with a gala evening starting at 7:00 PM, during which the Latin World Championship semifinals and finals, and the Showdance World Championship finals will take place.
Jan Onder and Kamila Tománková will host the evening.

The Cup of Partner Cities of Brno will be no less important for the city of Brno, as it will bring teams from Kaunas, Zagreb, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Bratislava, and the home team of Brno to our city.

Reserved seating tickets are available for the gala evening and the all-day program. Children under 13 are eligible for a discount, and barrier-free access is provided for persons with disabilities.
