Brno Open 2024.
The 22nd edition took place from September 20-22, 2024, at the Hall of the Faculty of Sports Studies at MUNI Brno.
This year's edition once again brought the world's dance elite in ballroom and Latin American dances to Brno, entertaining a full sports hall.
On Saturday, September 21st. Competitions in Latin American dances took place in the Junior 1, Junior 2, Youth, and Adult categories, and in the evening, a professional competition in standard dances was also held.
Saturday's program culminated in a Gala Evening attended by many distinguished guests, including the Mayor of the statutory city of Brno, Markéta Vaňková, member of the National Sports Agency council, František Horák, advisor to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic for sports, Jiří Nykodým, and many others...
The Saturday gala was hosted by Jan Onder with Kamila Tománková The TV show Stardance.
The winner of the TV show Stardance showcased her talent. Veronika Lálová and Ritmo Factory, who presented their samba show.
In the evening portion, the finals of the WDSF World Open Latin and WDSF PD Open Standard competitions, which had Czech representation, took place.
The Latin portion was won by a dance couple Jakub Lipowsky – Terza Kučerová and a beautiful third place was won by another Czech couple Tomáš Gál – Sabina Karásková
Czech representatives predictably dominated the professional standard dances David Odstrčil – Tara Bohak.This was a truly special evening for this dancing couple, as they concluded their long and very successful careers here, having achieved the title of World Champions in combination together.
On Sunday, September 22nd. The standard part of the Junior 1, Junior 2, Youth categories, and the excellently attended WDSF World Open Adult competition, took place.

The Brno Open dance competition has once again brought many amazing dance couples, judges, and fans from all over the world to Brno and the Czech Republic.
Next year, we can look forward to the largest and most significant event in dance sport, the WDSF World Championship in Latin American Dances, which will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Brno!
