The WDSF World Latin Dance Championships 2025 and the WDSF World Showdance Championship Standard will take place on Saturday 18 October 2025 in Brno, specifically in the city sports hall Starez Arena Vodova.
This prestigious event is part of the 23rd Brno Open Dance Festival and for the first time in history it will be held in the Czech Republic. More than 150 dance couples from more than 40 countries and 4 continents are expected to participate.
The South Moravian Region actively supports cultural and sporting events in the region through various subsidy programs that help all sports in our region.
Dance sport in the region is on the rise and the interest in it is growing, especially among children and juniors.There is perhaps no place in the South Moravian Region where dance sport is not devoted to.
The achievements of the DSP Kometa Brno Dance Club are certainly worth mentioning, as it can boast many Czech Championship titles, as well as the first Czech dance couple to win the World Dance Sport Championship title, David Odstrčil and Tara Bohak
This dance club is the main organizer of the World Championships and it is great that this event will take place in the most beautiful region of the Czech Republic with the support of the region….
Programme and gala evening
The day’s programme will culminate with a gala evening on Saturday at 19:00, during which the semi-finals and finals of the World Latin Championship and the finals of the World Showdance Championship will take place.
The evening will be hosted by Jan Onder and Kamila Tománková.

Equally important for the city of Brno will be the Brno Twin Cities Cup, which will bring to our city teams from Kaunas, Zagreb, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Bratislava and home town Brno.

Tickets are available for the gala evening and the full day programme. Children under 13 are entitled to a discount, and disabled access is available.
